What you pay on top of the price

In Andalusia you pay 7% transfer tax (ITP) on a resale home. On a new build it is 10% VAT (IVA) plus 1.2% stamp duty (AJD). With the notary, land registry, lawyer and gestoría on top, you end up at roughly 8 to 9% for a resale and roughly 13% for a new build. Everything is set out in buying costs in Spain.
